The Walking Dead, AMC’s longest-running drama, will be releasing NFTs in conjunction with the premiere of its final season. The NFTs will be released as part of the multi-year strategy that the franchise has for keeping the undead series alive in the metaverse.
The NFTs are to be dropped in multiple collection. The first will take place on February 20th at 1PM ET. This is just hours before the premier of ‘Part 2/3’, the show’s expanded final season. Each NFT will be priced at $50 and include 1,000 generative art NFTs featuring iconic characters from the past and present. The collection will also include 750 original animations that are inspired by iconic scenes. Each animation will cost $250.
Orange Comet, the producer and marketer for all The Walking Dead NFT content will also be selling NFT “Walker Access Passes” for $311. These will be available for 24 hours. Each NFT will be unique and one-of-a-kind, which will allow you to access exclusive The Walking Dead NFT content through 2022.
The show’s NFT content has been accumulated and will be released in the final season. This will provide the foundation for the launch of a virtual community that will revolve around the series as well as its digital assets. Fans will have the opportunity to trade, buy and sell their NFTs as well as to enjoy real-life, flesh-biting experiences that relate to the series.
